I really liked it!
The whole idea of a shifter-dragon is unusual, to me, in this genre. Dragons are refreshing to read about for that reason. Mina did a fantastic job incorporating the dragon itself as being a counterpart to their humans.
Chase is one of my favorite heroines. She is so independent, strong, confident, yet not in an obnoxious or overbearing way. I liked her backstory and truly felt for her and was very happy when the "fruits of her labor" were finally realized.
I fell in love with Duke mostly in the final scene. The final scene was really my favorite of the book. Don't get me wrong; this was a real page-turner! But it just seemed like everything came together in the final scene, and I loved reading it.
The ONLY reason I gave this book 4 out of 5 is the proofreading issues throughout.
I would be very interested in reading the previous books of the series. I'm sure the entire story as a whole would be very gripping!
